Fantasmes du Corps by Thomas Havlik

The photographic project was born as a meeting point between three vertices: painting, photography and body. Throughout the journey, both painting and photography follow their flow, the body within its anatomical limits is combined with the sign of painting and the photographic eye. The title FANTASMES DU CORPS takes the French term as a reference to the theories of great thinkers of the 20th century (Jacques Derrida and Pierre Klossowski) and through the meeting of these arts there is the intention to grasp the “body space” that exceeds the limits of the visual stereotype and the cliché.
